Born in Chiba, Japan, Sarah traveled the world extensivelyin her early years between Japan, Thailand, Bali, New Zealand, and The United States. During one of her trips to New York and watching the Broadway musical - Cats, Sarah was inspired to the point where she could not stop dancing after the show. At an early age, she trained extensively in various dance styles including Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical Jazz, Tap, Modern, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, African Dance, Salsa, Zumba, and traditional Japanese dances, along with classical and pop singing at Yuri Ballet Studio, Tokyo Ballet Theatre, KIE Musical School, Royal Ballet Company, Studio Yellow, Musical Academy Studio Grand Palais, and the KIE Ballet Studio.
After high school, she decided to study abroad in Vancouver and attended Capilano University. There she was on the Dean’s list and received her certificate of English for Academic Purposes. After becoming proficient in English, she attended New Image College of Fine arts to pursue her dreams of acting. She currently works diligently to fulfill her goal in becoming one of the few Japanese actors in Vancouver and to eventually build a career internationally. During her time at New Image, she performed in many different projects such as Macbeth, The Laramie Project,Problems of Contemporary Humanity, and Problem Child. Outside of school she has taken part in Metro Theatre’s Christmas Pantomime, 'Aladdin' as a principle dancer. For short films and TV series, she was the lead of the first episode of Non-Noozel, Ba-boozel. She was also in All In: With Sally Statfield and Denial as supporting lead.
Even after graduating from New Image, Sarah has not stopped her education. She receives vocal coaching, dances regularly, works out at the gym, and trains in light martial arts. She always occupies her time with art projects as well as: hiking, swimming, tennis, skiing, jogging, cooking, and playing soccer. Her cheerful personality, sense of humour, and strong work ethic combined with her will to never give up brings out the best in others.
